I just have to start off with that. Why? ...Wow!!... I just have to start off with that. Why? Well, because I have had this 'tree in a silo' thing on my mind this last two months or so... every time I see a tree sticking up out of the silo it catches my attention and I have been puzzled, or more correctly intrigued by them. And just tonight... just a few hours ago, as Zack, the kids and I were heading to his grandparents house to visit I asked him about the tree growing out of the silo in their bean field. And I asked him if the trees that grew in silos go all the way to the ground and have a root system or if maybe there was old grain or something that maybe they have their roots in... he didn't really know the answer to my question but I felt as though I had at least spoken out loud about my 'tree in the silo' wonderings... And then I see your blog, and this picture, I promise you looks EXACTLY like the one I was looking at this evening as I questioned it's root system. And now that I have read your post, not only do I think we are maybe a bit spiritually connected, but also was thinking that the trees that grow in the safety of the silo.. those ppl on the outside cannot see the roots, or for sure where they are planted. Do they have a good root system to bear good fruit? You just don't know, and may never know. But, the trees outside of that comfort zone and protection of the silo or church, you see from leaves to roots, from branches to fruit. You see their genuine self, their true presence, and essence. And it makes me think of the tree that I want to be ( I have always had a thing for trees anyway!:) But I want to be not only out of the silo, but with deep roots and strong branches, and abundunt good fruit of all kinds, I want to be planted by the stream of Gods 'living water' to water me daily and to grow daily. I want to be standing tall she showing his glory through all those things, my root system, branches, fruit and so on.
Thanks for this post Cheri, now you've really got me thinking about the trees in the silos... and I just might have to go take a picture of the one I was looking at tonight... because I tell you what, when I saw that picture in your post I just about couldn't believe my eyes... isn't God amazing!?! I look forward to more!

Love you cheri!
TeresaTeresahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05074974956131831599noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2894901656509002540.post-60713930408527796492009-07-24T22:03:31.753-05:002009-07-24T22:03:31.753-05:00Laura and Joy!!! Should anything change, please, please let me know!
I took the picture, Laura. There are several silos around the area with trees in them. The Lord kept ministering to me about this so I decided to go out in the country and take a picture of one. I took it about a month ago so I have been ruminating on it all this time.
I have been so busy this summer, it has really cut into my writing time. It has been a good, good summer though. Very grateful! He has given me a lot to write about! You will be hearing from me more........Lord willing!!!

Love you, my dear, sweet, wonderful sisters, friends! You cannot imagine how many times I have thanked the Lord for you!!!

Sweet blessings!!!
CheriCheri Bunchhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11164308430243574427noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2894901656509002540.post-84212378583227130962009-07-24T21:50:16.817-05:002009-07-24T21:50:16.817-05:00Amen, Cheri!
